The short version
Everything you type into the Stock Average Calculator stays on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics trackers, and no third-party scripts on this site today.
What runs in your browser
- Calculations — all math happens locally in JavaScript; your purchase amounts are never uploaded.
- Theme preference — your light/dark choice is saved in your browser's
localStorageso the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. - Offline cache — a service worker stores the app's own files on your device so the calculator works without internet. It caches the app, not your inputs.
- Shareable links — if you copy a result link, your numbers are encoded in that URL. Only share it with people you want to see those numbers.
Hosting
This site is served by GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log basic technical request data (such as IP addresses) to operate the service. See the GitHub privacy statement for details.
Advertising
There are currently no advertisements on this site. If ads are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first, and any advertising partner (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads — with options to opt out of personalised advertising as required by law.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
